Last night's Full Beaver Moon!

November's Full "Beaver Moon" and it is
an eclipse. The full moon is due to peak in the very early hours of Monday, November 30, but you'll be able to see it after sunset the night before. My husband took the photo above last evening.

A potent time for culmination and fruition, tapping into the energy of the full moon can aid in manifestation and give us all a little extra oomph.

Lunar eclipses occur when the sun, Earth, and moon line up in such a way that it creates a shadow on the moon. There are three types of eclipses—a penumbral eclipse (like the one we're in for) and a total and partial eclipse. When a penumbral eclipse happens, the moon passes through the dim, outer edge of the Earth's shadow—aka the penumbra—making it look slightly darker than usual.

A little quality time

As planned, my mom and I spent the entire day today baking cookies at her house. This had been a sort of holiday tradition for us for many years but somehow took a back seat to other life events. It was such an enjoyable day and we both needed it - this year especially.

We made cut-out cookies using my Nana's old family recipe ...

Snowmen, bells, angels, stars, cats ...

Delicious chocolate chip cookies ...

And, I could not resist the chance to finally use my mermaid tail cutters ...

Have a great evening all!

Saturday this and that

Happy Saturday! Yesterday, I cleaned the house and decorated for the holiday season. Sir Leo was happy to supervise as usual ...

The front door decor ...

Some kitchen adornments ...

My apologies for the poor quality of my pics - I still have not been able to replace my digital camera so I have no flash to take indoor pics.

Here are a couple of old photos taken at past Christmases ...

An old photo of my brother and I standing in front of New Yorks' Radio City Music Hall circa 2011. And, a pic taken at one of my past company Christmas parties - the only time I had ever dyed my hair blonde ...

Tomorrow, I am planning on spending the day baking cookies with my mom at her house. Looking forward to it since it has been a few years since we were able to find the time.

Thanksgiving week

Greetings all! I hope that everyone had a pleasant Thanksgiving holiday (for those of you who celebrate it with their family and friends). Yesterday, we had a very small gathering at my MIL's since many of our elderly family members have already passed on years back.

That being said, we spent a nice day together eating some delicious food and enjoying one another's company ...

We ordered our dinner from a wonderful place located directly across the street from our home called, "Around the Family Table." They cook and bake homemade meals and desserts daily and their holiday dinners are THE BEST since my nana stopped cooking them years ago. We had mashed potatos, stuffing, turkey, ham, green bean casserole with generous pieces of bacon, corn, and fresh buns! And, ALL of that for under $50.00! :)

My mom chipped in and brought two desserts - the traditional pumpkin pie and pumpkin spice cheescakes! YUMMY GOOD!

Today, I will continue my yearly Black Friday tradition of putting away the fall and Halloween decor and switching up the Halloween tree with Yule/Christmas ornaments - adorning the rest of the house with my winter decorations. While at a local flea market last weekend, I found this set of salt and pepper shakers for only $3.00 - what a bargain! 👍

Well, better get movin' - I have lots to get done today! Take care and have a great Friday, friends!

The dog did it! He knocked over the tree then he ran me down!

What's up

Greetings and salutations, my friends! I hope all are doing well. The weather here has been rather unusually warm even for this time of the year. Yesterday, my sister and I took advantage of it and decided to stop off at one of our local dollar stores to pick up a few cheap items. While there, we were surprised to find a store called, "Uniquely Local." This store is exactly what is says it is - all local artists, bakers, crafters, etc. who sell their uniquite items and at terrific prices at that! From an array of handmade jewelry to decorations, candy, snacks, macrame, knitted, and crocheted items to even wall paintings ...

I bought this pretty little tissue box.

These goodies as well - a sweet witches hat snack made out of an ice cream cone and a chocolate chip cookie adorned with sprinkles and a witches broom using a pretzel stick and milk chocolate bottom! Almost too neat to eat, but alas I shall find a way none-the-less! lol

These reiki charged tea lights infused with small gemstones - love these! They even come with separate cards explaining what each of the seven gemstones represent in correspondence to the seven chakras.

On the way home, we split a nice little dinner at another local business in our area - Flanagan's Pub. There are sooo many great LOCAL businesses suffering (and many have been forced to close already!) from the financial burden which our esteemed Governor Wolf of Pennsylvania has helped bankrupt!! (however, the subject of THAT a-hole is a topic for another discussion at another time perhaps) ...

A delicious chicken cheesesteak with Good's potato chips.

And a yummy chocolate cheesecake with cool whip on the side.

Have a Blessed Sunday all!

Fun Friday!

Happy Friday everyone ... FINALLY!! Just a little good humor and some good music ...
Yeeaahh, like THAT would actually work! lol

A leftover pic of a friend dressed up as "Diamond Dave" Roth from this past Halloween ... 😁

Monday odds and ends ...

Hey there, friends!

I hope everyone had an enjoyable weekend! Mine was quite nice. My one string of lights on my Halloween Tree burned out so I improvised and used my small string of orange ones I had adorned at my halloway enterance ...

My sister Aurora and I spent Saturday together just hanging out ...

I bought some handmade shortbread cookies at The Mint Leaf for us to snack on ...

And, my mom made some of her yummy homemade chicken corn noodle soup and sent some home for me. Aurora and I ate it for dinner later on that evening ...

One of the things I FINALLY picked up for myself while we were out and about was a stand for my laptop at Barnes & Noble. LOVE IT!!

So does Ginger it would seem ...

A sweet pic my friend Deb shared with me of her grandson J.J. standing in front of his family Christmas Tree which her daughter recently put up in their living room ...

Today, Aurora, Deb, and I had a nice little get together at one of our favorite haunts - Flanagan's Pub!

HAVE A GREAT DAY ALL!!
