Always ready for Samhain!

I'm doing my "happy dance" while decorating our home for one of my favorite celebrations, Samhain! This sabbat is the third and last harvest of the year and the "Witches New Year!" It is the time of the year when we honor our ancestors who have crossed over into the world of spirit and a time when we mourn the death of our Father God, now in the Summerlands. With that in mind, Samhain represents both the old and the new.

Every year, when preparing for this sabbat, I begin with adorning my home with symbols of the season and end with the preparation of my sacred altar. This year, I will be celebrating in a private Samhain ritual with my sister Robin (Aurora Skye) ~ just the two of us. However, I will post more on that at a later time.

Here are just a few pics of what I have done thus far ...

My little "helpers" ~ Midnight 'n' Kiki

Well, I guess that's about all for now. Have a Blessed Sunday, my friends!
