Update (Part 2)

Yesterday, my husband and I moved my mom into Mifflin Court where she will reside for the next full month. Her room is very nice - a lot like an efficiency hotel room. It has a small kitchenette, private bathroom, a small living room area, and a bedroom with two twin beds and plenty of night stands and roomy closet. It is completely furnished and we had them include a phone and television as well. The building is very well kept and this place has everything!

The Dining Room for the residents.
Entertainment room. There is also has a large activity room as well (not pictured)
Hairdressing Salon.
24-Hour nurse on staff at all times. When a resident checks in, they are given a Med Alert-type button to wear along with their apartment room key. They also set up a motion/movement device in the living room part of the apartment to detect a fall immediately so that they may respond right away. They will also transport her to her up-coming doctor appointments free of charge.
Part of the Lobby: Beautiful canaries and birds who love to sing to you! Very relaxing - and very cleanly kept!

Among the items that I needed to pick up for my mom was a set of women's pajamas - she had none at home that fit her since she lost so much weight. So, I ran to our local Walmart to get her this ... I told her just wait until the caregivers who help her get her night clothing on get a load of this - lol!

It was a bit of a rough start, but she is already making friends and has told me that the people are very nice and helpful. The staff are wonderful - from the Admissions Director right down to the nurses and caregivers. So far, we are extremely pleased. She starts up her Outpatient Therapy as of tomorrow. Fingers crossed!
