This and That

Greetings all. Well, it has been a weekend of many challenges for me. First off, I can not get into my Yahoo email because I do not remember what the password was. I opened up the account back in the late 90's and only changed the password when they prompted me to, which was NOT very often. So, I had written it down the last time it was changed and when I tried to use it yesterday because for some reason they made me enter a password, the one I had written down did NOT work! JUST GREAT ... NOT. I had not signed out of it in a couple of years so and it should not ask me for a password!! And, the only recovery email I had was an old email address from when I worked at Traveler's Insurance Company which is no good anymore. And because, (in my opinion) technology sucks so badly and creates nothing but anxiety and even more stress in my life, I had to finally bite the bullet and buy a cheap cellphone in hopes that I could get a recovery code to reset my password with my new and only cellphone  ---- NOPE! Yahoo support was NO HELP what-so-ever. They made me scan my driver's license for verification, but then said that was not acceptable. WHAT??? It is a valid and active ID!! Gimme a break. I can now understand why people HATE Yahoo!! AND, if they did help me, I would have to pay a premium! They told us that we could try another time or open up a new Yahoo email account. Yeah, right. My husband then said to them, "If we are having such a hard time changing a password, then WHY would we want to open a new account with you?" It is complete and utter bull***t! It is a complete MESS.

Now, I have to change ALL of my accounts including my work info to my gmail account and pray that THAT account never gives me the problem Yahoo did. I was so frustrated yesterday, all I could do is cry. I can't stand modern technology seriously for a number of reasons - mainly because it so farrr too much of a pain in the ASS. I HATE IT ... period, and always will. 😠😠😠

Moving on, my Saturday was much better than my crappy Sunday. I spent the day with my friend Deb who wanted very badly to go shopping at "Hobby Lobby" where I got some holiday shopping done. Most of the holiday items were 50% off ...

An important thought for today (and everyday)

Whether you’re waking up this morning with tears of sadness or tears of joy, please be mindful of the things you say. Please be mindful of the way you conduct yourself today. Please don’t throw away relationships with people over a difference in opinion. Please remember, we can coexist while having differing perspectives. People feel the way that they do for a reason. People are passionate about what they are passionate about due to a combination of factors including their upbringing, their religion, their traumas, and other life events that have led them to where they currently are. Please be kind, please show compassion, please confront others with love and understanding. This country needs less hate and more of an ability to have hard and uncomfortable conversations. We have the freedom of speech for a reason, but please don’t use that to put others down today.

Odds and Ends

Greetings, friends! Another weekend come and gone way too quickly. However, my hubby and I made the best of it. Yesterday, we decided to have an early dinner at our local "Cracker Barrel" in order to use a gift card that he was given from his employer. I love their gift shop and as always I find lots of good stuff while there ...

Christmas Tree salt and pepper shaker set.
A Strawberry Soda Pop scented candle.

A set of Winnie the Pooh kitchen towels.

Some candy ...

.
And I had tried something a bit different, I ordered the Cinnamon Swirl French Toast with eggs and bacon from their breakfast anytime menu ...
.
Speaking of dinner, we also had the lasagna meal special at The Sinking Spring VFW on Saturday night. The chef was not there, but since he prepares his meal specials in advance, we were still able to order the DELICIOUS lasagna! ....

And, in honor of my mother who had battled breast cancer a few years ago, I decided to wear my pink cap with my Breast Cancer Awareness scrub as well.
I do not have any real tattoos on my body, but once in a while I love to wear the ones that can be taken off with rubbing alcohol ...

This and That

Greetings all. Now that Halloween and Samhain are over for this year, I thought that I would post a few pics from this past week. Ever since I was a child, I wanted to be a nurse so I dressed up for work on Thursday in a Halloween scrub and orange cap - after all, Halloween is the one day of the year when we can pretend to be who or what we want to be at any age and it is okay ... 🎃

Meanwhile, Charlie is busy living his best life. He is beginning to wonder around the house farther and the other night I saw him playing with his ball ...

Who's Harley Quinn?? ...

And, just a little throwback from a couple of years ago - I dressed up for Halloween as Harley Quinn. ...

A snap shot with my sister Aurora Skye at "Flanagan's Pub" on Halloween weekend. I actually wore a white lab coat over top of the dress with an ID tag saying, "Dr. Harleen Quinzel" and the official Harley Quinn nurses cap (not shown here) as part of my costume ...

Posing with my friend Deb while out and about on Halloween ...
