Amongst the remnants left-over from my childhood, there are the few things that my mom has kept stored upstairs in her attic all these many years. Beautiful Easter baskets, vintage decorations, etc. These Shiny Brite glass tree ornaments are part of what she had saved.

Holiday goodies & a Wordless Wednesday
Greetings, friends. Tomorrow is officially Thanksgiving and I am off of work until Monday - giving me a four day weekend so to speak. Yesterday, Chef Jesenia dropped off some goodies that I ordered last week from her holiday menu this year which I will be taking along with us to a family dinner tomorrow.

And, she also added an extra surprise for me - three of these delicious Pumpkin Spice cupcakes! ...

A Sunday song ...
From a killing in the market on the war
The children left King Midas there, as they found him
In his counting house where nothing counts but more
And he thought he heard the echoes of a penny whistle band
And the laughter from a distant caravan
And the brightly painted line of circus wagons in the sand
Fading through the door into summer
With his travelogues of "maybe next year" places
As a trade-in for a name upon the door
And he pays for it with years he can not buy back with his tears
When he finds out there's been no one keeping score
And he thought he heard the echoes of a penny whistle band
And the laughter from a distant caravan
And the brightly painted line of circus wagons in the sand
Fading through the door into summer
And he thought he heard the echoes of a penny whistle band
And the laughter from a distant caravan
And the brightly painted line of circus wagons in the sand
Fading through the door into summer
Fading through the door into summer
Fading through the door into summer
Fading through the door into summer
Fading through the door into summer

Weekend odds 'n' ends
Greetings everyone! Well, it looks like it is going to be a "Game of Thrones" kinda weekend as I am throwing my DVD's in the DVD player. They had mandatory overtime today but since I have not been fully relased yet by our staff nurse I, thankfully, got out of it! And so, I am taking advantage of the Saturday off and rudding up both bedrooms (they are a REAL MESS) and cleaning them. Tomorrow, I plan to take a box of clothing to our local Goodwill Store as well. I am scheduled to see the nurse this Tuesday again regarding my muscle sprain. I am healing nicely and I suspect that I will get fully released this week.
Between the up-coming holidays, my mom's doctor appointments and other necessary things, it is going to be a very busy next two months! Therefore, I will try to post here as much as time will allow. Sooo much to do, sooo little time these days.
Moving on, my sister Aurora Skye and her hubby recently adopted this orange male beauty - introducing "Hammy" ... 😊🐈
And finally, a BIG shout out to my dear friend, Lady Sabrina Rhiannon and her hubby who celebrated their 18th wedding anniversary this past week! I have known her for many years and was honored to be chosen to be the officiant for their special day! Here are some pics from their ceremony ... 💕

Sunday This and That ...
Greetings, friends! First and foremost, I would like to sincerely say "thank you" to those who wished me a speedy healing. My chin bruise is almost completely gone and my muscle strain seems to gradually be getting a bit better each day. After seeing the staff nurse on Tuesday, the company's protocal, apparently, is to send what they call an Intervention Specialist to me while I was working. Opposite of what the nurse had previously instructed me to do which was to apply heat to my injury, the Specialist told me to use a COLD compress FIRST twice a day for three days - so far, it has been helping me.
Moving on, yesterday my mom, my husband and I took advantage of my mom's annual Employee Boscov Days. On the way to pick up my mom at her house, my husband suggesred stopping off at The Mint Leaf located about a quarter of a mile down the road from our house. These are the items we found while there ...
A new line of whipped soap for the holidays and Green Tea & Cucumber creme soap to use for shaving.
Have a Blessed Sunday all!
