What's Up

Blessed Sunday all! Hope everyone is doing well. Besides working six days a week as of late, I have been also keeping pretty busy at home on my only day off. Last weekend, I cleaned out my closet full of clothing that do not fit me anymore in order to make room for the clothes that do and took four bags to Goodwill.

A couple of days ago, I had a little visitor in the kitchen ... 🐞💖

Moving on, we currently have three outside cats which we are feeding and trying to give shelter to. One of them is a little boy whom my hubby named "Benny" ...

It is my sincere belief that Benny has a neurological problem as his head is always tilted to the left and his walk is "off". It is our hope that we can get close enough to him to flea treat him and get him set up in the downstairs holding cage then make an appointment with our vet for an evaluation to see if there is anything at all we can do to help him! He is so sweet!!! ...

It is that time of the season for Pumpkin Spice cookies ... 😀

Now for some rather sad news. Our friend (and my dance buddy) Walt had a very bad fall at home and hit his head causing some bleeding in the brain and he has some memory loss. He doesn't remember his five kids, but the doctors say in time that his memory will slowly come back to him. We are sending he and his family (also friends of ours from the Sinking Spring VFW) LOTS OF PRAYERS!!!

Yesterday, I noticed a small dot on the kitchen ceiling ... turns out it was a ladybug come to visit us.

The ladybug has many different meanings, but here are five of the most commonly accepted:

Good luck

If you have ladybugs on your property, you can bet they're helping keep your plants alive and healthy. As such, ladybugs are thought of as a sign of good luck and good fortune, Star Wolf tells mbg. "If one lands on you, it's said to be a kiss of good luck," she adds.

Feeling the love and keep seeing ladybugs? Along with its associations with fertility and rebirth, ladybugs can also be a sign of true love, according to Star Wolf—whether you've just met your true love or someone new is heading your way.

And lastly, Star Wolf says ladybugs are also thought to be signs of adaptability, resiliency, and even metamorphosis, thanks to their many life stages and ability to come out of hibernation after a long winter of resting.

Sunday This and That

Greetings, friends, I hope all is well with everyone. This was a fairly busy weekend. Yesterday was the Annual WWII Weekend Event at the Mid-Atlantic Air Museum which is located less than a mile or so down the road from our house. Joining my husband this year, was his cousin Mike and Mike's younger son, Matthew who drove to PA from New Jersey ...

While they were enjoying their day at WWII Weekend, I spent my last free weekend for literally the rest of this year (as we were informed at my job) with my friend Deb whom I have actually not seen in a couple of months. I normally just choose to hang out at my house over the weekend of the WWII event because the traffic is so bad I just refuse to deal with it, but I decided to meet her and her husband (my very long time friend as well, Dave) for lunch and dinner. Our friend Kyle joined us, too ...

The weather was (and still is today) VERY hot and humid (in the 90's), but it was nice sitting at the beach cabanna bar at Beverly Hills Tavern. While we were eating, a ladybug flew onto my arm ...

A little update on our Leo - After we brought him home from the emergency vet in Lancaster, PA last Saturday night, we kept him in the catio so that we could keep a good watch on him. We soon discovered that he was constipated. My guess, well since we never filled the optional prozac script for him, perhaps that the pain meds he was given while at the emergency vet may have been the reason for this. So, we called our usual vet and they had me drop him off on Friday morning before I went to work and then called my husband after they checked him out. My husband was able to pick him up after his work later that day and they gave us a script for Lactulose 15ML solution to give him for the next week in order to HOPEFULLY help him pass his stools. I filled the script yesterday and we began giving it to him last night as he needs to have it given to him with food. FINGERS CROSSED!! 🙏

As for today, I plan on spending the day hanging out at home with Leo and our other fur babies.
