A family affair ...

Greetings all! As we look forward to celebrating the upcoming season - and my favorite time of the year - the Autumn Equinox/fall, I am preparing my home and soon my altar room.  In the meantime, I also celebrated two belated birthdays this past week. One being one of my dearest friends, Kiki's and her granddaughter who also happens to be my god-daughter, Kyli! We had a nice lunch at Flannagan's Pub just before I had to head off to work ...

Joining us, were Kyli's younger siblings, Aydin, L.A. (Little Anthony), and Kayleigha.

Saturday, I spent a pleasant afternoon with my sister Aurora Skye ...  💜

She and I had a good time checking out all of the goodies at a place called, "Hobby Lobby" where I found a few treasures at great prices!
Mermaid statue and a salt & pepper shaker set.

Some new fall candles.

A couple of new additions to my nautical bathroom ...

We also made a trip on the way home to "Five Below" where I picked up a new little cat bed for my fur babies ...

"What now? We are trying to sleep, here, seriously?"

Sir Leo having some fun "hiding" under the sofa blanket while I was cleaning up the house today ... LOL

I have been busy decorating for Fall as well on the first two-day weekend I have had off of work in about two months. First and foremost, I changed my hanging calendar ...

Have a blessed Sunday, friends!!

Fun Friday!

Happy Friday! Ever had a song stuck in your head which you have not heard nor thought about in many  years? Well, for some unknown reason, this beautiful song has been playing in my head for the past couple of days now. It is a song that brings back memories of when I was a little kid. It is an old Spanish ballad our local radio station used to play and I would hear it almost every single morning while waiting for the school bus to arrive in front of my house. Because I did not and still do not speak Spanish at all, I never understood what the song was about nor did I care because the melody was just so pretty! I found the translation the other day while searching on the net and so I included them here as well. Not sure how accurate they are, but I believe they are fairly close enough to get the idea of what this group is singing about. Enjoy!

Eres Tu

So like a promise, it is you, it is you
So like a morning in the summer
The warmth of a smile, it is you, it is you
For me, for me, it is you

My hope and my yearning, it is you, it is you
So like a cool rain in my warm hands
So like a soft wind, it is you, it is you
For me, for me, it is you

It is you, like the water of my fountain
It is you, the warmth here within my home
It is you (So are you to me)
Like the fire of my hearthstone (So are you, like the flame of my hearth)
It is you (So to me are you)
The wheat I knead/need for my bread (My life, so to me are you)

The rhyme in my poem, it is you, it is you
Like a guitar sounds in the nighttime
The light on my horizon, it is you, it is you
For me, for me, it is you

It is you, like the water of my fountain
It is you, the warmth here within my home
It is you (So are you to me)
Like the fire of my hearthstone (Like the flame of my hearth, so are you)
It is you (So to me are you)
The wheat I knead/need for my bread

Thursday quick post ...

Happy Thursday all! Just a quick little post today. I will be working this Sunday but am off to spend a well-needed HAPPY DAY with my sister Aurora on Saturday. I am off to work now, but before I do, I wanted to share this with you. This week, my co-workers and I were given a little "thank you" from Alcon - a Hershey's candy bar with a specialized THANK YOU message on the wrapper ...:)

I am planning on posting again sometime this weekend. Have a good one!!

Tuesday This and That ...

Greetings, friends! Hope all is well with you! As usual, I have been extremely busy as of late. Between working overtime on weekends and sleeping; however, I also attended my husband's cousin's daughter's wedding this last Saturday - one of the few weekends in which I did not have to work. She asked me to be her photographer and I was thrilled to do so! My mom was also invited and the venue for the ceremony and reception was held at my MIL's home. It was outdoors and she has so much land that we had plenty of room to enjoy ourselves. I took hundreds of photos between Brett's digital camera and my own. So, I took them all home, consolidated them all, made a separate file of the cropped pics and added those to the camera card as well and gave it to the Bride and Groom as part of their wedding gift. Here are just a few from that card ...
Mr. and Mrs. Luke Lonaberger.

Brett's cousin's hubby trimmed a very special heart- shaped tree which stood aside of my MIL's house so we took a few pics with that as well ...

The Bride & Groom dance ...

The Bride and Groom having some fun with some family members ... (I LOVE this one!)

Here's to Forever

The pretty heart-shaped gift card basket ...

One of the many table centerpieces. I saw a photo opportunity and placed the Bride's bouquet of flowers in front of it ...

My MIL and my mom ...

Posing for a quick pic with my mom before the wedding. We were also celebrating her 81st birthday ...

And in other news, I found out yesterday that I was nominated for a Behavioral Excellence Award. These awards are usually given to employees after either a fellow co-worker or a supervisor submits a nomination request for various reasons. The one I was nominated for is in the category of job performance ...

I also received a really cool stylist pen included in my nomination packet ...

Well, that is pretty much it for now. Have a great week all and Brightest Blessings!
