Today, we attended The 46th Annual Hay Creek Festival in Geigertown, PA with my sister Aurora Skye and her hubby ...
There were a lot of fun and educational things to see ...
This is the building where they serve breakfast and show the Victorian Christmas Tree display in December at their last annual event, "Christmas at Joanna Furnace"...
We took home a couple of canisters of Chicken Noodle Soup ...
A pretty handmade wreath I bought at the festival ...
Another cool find! ...
Two times I tried to post a comment and they both vanished! I give up for now.....
ReplyDeleteI'm exhausted, but thinking of you and the kitties. 😺
Looks like a fun place. My mother-in-law preferred those straw brooms. They were hard to find in our area, and we never got her one. Too bad we didn't know about the festival.
ReplyDeleteCJ, the Hay Creek Historical Association has three events every year - the first is always in September which is actually the apple fest, the second is in October which is pretty much the same but includes a huge flea market of treasures, fresh, homemade soups etc., and the last one is usually the first weekend of December and that is called, "Christmas at Joanna" which is BEAUTUFUL and lit up, has carolers singing, food, an enormous indoor vintage Christmas Tree, vendors selling their crafts, a live manager scene with camels, donkeys, etc. You can check out their website at: https://haycreek.org
