Fun Friday!

Greetings, friends! My deepest apologies for my absence the past few weeks. I have been working A LOT of mandatory overtime at work and have had very little time to catch up on the blogs I follow or even to publish any posts on my own blog. I hope to be able to update all of you sometime this weekend as we are getting at least one weekend reprieve.

In the meantime, I will leave you all with a few music videos from my favorite movies. The first one (above) is from the movie remake, "Unfailthfully Yours" starring the both comedically AND musically talented Dudley Moore (and yes he actually DID play the violin in this scene!), Armand Assante, and Nastassja Kinski.

And finally, one of my all-time favorite videos (although not from a movie, to my knowledge) is an excellent performance of the late, great Roy Clark (playing the fiddle) and a young 12 year  old Jimmy Henley (playing the banjo) on "Orange Blossom Special"! Now, because, unfortunately, this wonderful video performance has been changed so it can not be shared here (as with so many other YouTube videos - GRRRR) so I had to share it from a different source and in a different format as I had planned (if you wish to skip the "chit chat" part of this video please forward to the time of 6:24). Trust me, it is well worth the watch! ENJOY!

Happy Friday! Last night, we had the rare opportunity to view the Aurora Borealis or Northern Lights here in Berks County, PA ...

This Saturday night, my hubby and I have tickets to go see comedian and musician Tim Hawkins live in concert in Williamsport. PA. This will be the second time we will get the opportunity to attend one of Tim's shows. GREAT PERFORMER! ...  

In other news, Charlie is just beginning to adjust to his new life as our newest family member. It is a slow process for him, he still is not comfortable outside of his "safe space" (cage), but last night he started playing with toys ... 😻

Happy Friday! Anyone who has been following my blog for some time knows that I am absolutely obsessed with colored mascaras! With my skin tone being so light and also at my age, black mascara no longer looks good on me as it is far too dark and brown simply does not show up well. So, I began looking for alternatives. GOOD colored mascara is very hard to find and the products out there are either too expensive OR they are eventually discontinued.

Happy Friday! Just a quick post for today. Tomorrow my hubby and I are planning on attending the 46th Annual Hay Creek Festival with my sister Aurora Skye and her husband. The last time we were there was back in 2018.

Blessed Friday everyone! Earlier this week, I came across some very old articles about mermaids which I had forgotten I had found while searching the internet. Thankfully, I had printed them off back in 1998. I had printed lots of pages about mermaids so that I could read them when I had the time to do so. So, I placed them in a large binder and upon finding them again, I have decided to use them for a new post series for my blog, "Mermaid Tails & Dragon Treasures" titled "The Mermaid Chronicles" ...

The series will be published a segment at a time as it would be impossible to condense all the information I have collected. Among the articles which I will be sharing will be:
