Blessed Sunday, friends! Thought perhaps a little Gordon Lightfoot would be in order today. He was known for being the ultimate story teller and he has been referred to as Canada's greatest songwriter. Hope you enjoy!
"Sundown"
"If You Could Read My Mind"
"The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald"
Thanks for this post. I was a big fan of Lightfoot years ago. "If You Could Read My Mind" was my favorite.
ReplyDeleteI haven't heard the Edmund Fitzgerald in a long time.
Brings back memories.
My favorite has always been "If You Could Read My Mind" as well! So glad you enjoyed it!!

So talented
ReplyDeleteYes, he most certainly was! I remember in my sixth grade English class, our teacher played the song, "The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald" for our entire class as part of our curriculum. All these years later and I STILL remember what a cool teacher she was!

Wow! That is so cool!! I remember when I was in sixth grade, my English teacher played it for us as part of her curriculum. The song is amazingly haunting, but a true story. And Gordon Lightfoot was an amazing song writer/storyteller!
