My Birthday week in review ...

Greetings all! Yesterday was my 62nd birthday, but I celebrated it this past weekend with my seester. However, before I get into my birthday weekend I just wanted to post an update on our Charlie. I took him into our vet after noticing a skin irritation on his shoulder blade. It looked much like feline dermatitis. So after having him checked, Dr. Hoy did indeed confirm that he has dermatitis so she gave him a shot of convenia (an antibiotic which lasts approximately two weeks) and a topical dose of Neosporin twice a day. I asked them to run blood work on him since we haven't had that done in a year since we took him in from outside.

UNFORTUNATELY, we received a call the very next day informing us that he was diagnosed with kidney disease! We were devastated! He is currently on a special RX kidney food diet in hopes we can prolong his life. Now, we already lost TWO cats who have passed away from kidney disease and IT IS NOT PRETTY! In fact, it is utterly heartbreaking! We are doing everything we possibly can for him. :(

Okay, now that I have told you all about the BAD NEWS, I will move on to the rest of the weekend.

My seester Aurora Skye treated me to a wonderful birthday lunch at Ganly's Pub and gave me a really COOL set of earrings and a beautitful card ...

We also went shopping where I found these neat little items - a pen with amethyst gemstones and a pava shell bracelet ...

We also stopped off at our local Yankee Candle Store to check out the new Spring items ...
Spring/Ostara Luma Lid.

My co-workers were so kind and surprised me with these cards and gifts! ...
From hubby ...

From my fur babies ... lol!

And from my Twin Soul (sister) Rhiannon and her son ...
And, Blessed Mother's Memorial Day 💖💔💖💔💖

Valentine's Day Weekend

Blessed Sunday, friends! Hope everyone had a very nice weekend. Upon returning home from work at 11PM on Thursday night, I was surprised by a pretty bouquet of flowers in the kitchen from my hubby for Valentine's Day!

On Saturday afternoon, after dropping off my car to be repaired, we frequented a local venue, "The Fairgrounds Square Farmer's Market" and found these cool little items for Valentine's Day and Spring/Ostara ...

Later on, we decided to have dinner at a really good restaurant located directly down the road from us called, "Klinger's at The Airport". They had entertainment which made for a very relaxing dining atmosphere ... 💕

The Good, the Bad, & the Ugly

Happy Sunday, everyone. Well, it has been over a month since I last posted here; however, in my defense, things have been CRAZY the past month or so. I will not bore you with the details so I will cut it short. In December, my hubby had a "fender bender" on his way to a work assignment. Now, speaking as the daughter of a life-long auto mechanic, it doesn't take MUCH for a car built these days to crush like a piece of paper - let's face it, they do not design cars like they used to! Anyhow, our insurance only paid 80% of the first 20 days of his car rental from Hertz and the auto body shop would not schedule his repair until 2 weeks AFTER our insurance covered it! We finally picked up his car this past week. 😏

In addition, we got blasted, along with a lot of other States, with a snow, sleet, and ice storm a week ago - oh yay 😟 ...
The kitty in the driveway is who we believe to be Kitt Kats brother, and whom we have named, "Rocky".

Okay, so that was pretty much the "bad and the ugly". Now for the "good" part of this post. Moving on, I think that we have made a bit of progress with Bennie. Lately, he has actually allowed me to touch/pet him and he seems to enjoy it! ...

I have also used a really good pic that my hubby took with his cell phone of Bennie and Kitt Kat. My hubby bought a nice little photo holder ornament and so I added it to the other kitty ornaments...

And, an promptu pic of Mr. Butterscotch and Charlie sharing a drink of water ...

Wishing all a very blessed week to come! 💕

The week in review

This week has been a bit of a rollercoaster - both relaxing and stressful. Not stressful due to the usual holiday bustle, but because of the horrible 20-some degree weather with a lot of ICE on top of it (not to mention the terrible winds) all of which caused my car not to start come Monday. Strange given the fact that Monday's temps here were in the mid 40's. At any rate, my hubby put a new battery in it on New Year's Day (of course he had a very frustrating time trying to get the old one out because it was still frozen to the inside of my car).

My good friend, Jesenia aka Chef Jesenia, and I had plans to FINALLY go to Murdough's Christmas Barn. A place which she had never been to before. I was supposed to drive us there, but since my car would not start that day, she drive us instead ...

I ended up buying a couple of little items ...

A couple of pics I took with my digital camera ...
Jesenia surprised me with this awesome mermaid mug and soup dish set for Christmas...💗

And, my gift to her was to treat her to a nice lunch after shopping at The Railroad House - another place which she has never been to before. While at Murdough's, I saw something that I thought she might enjoy and so I bought it for her as part of her Christmas gift. After Jesenia returned home, she took this pic of it and sent it to me. :)

Moving on, this is the last day of the company shutdown between Christmas and New Year's. As always, it went by WAYYYY too fast! I didn't do much for New Year's Eve or New Year's Day.
.

Wishing all a nice and safe weekend!
