Monday montage

Monday already and I have some more odds and ends to share with all of you. First, some pics from yesterday ...
The inside of The Peanut Bar was decorated for the holiday season.
Every table has a bowl of unshelled peanuts for the patrons to enjoy and the idea is to throw the shells onto the floor after eating them.

These are some pics from the inside lobby of The Double Tree Hilton where there is cool artwork all along the walls.
The Reading Railroad tracks - a symbol of downtown Reading, PA for decades.

And a couple more pics from Saturday night's show ...
Program autographed by the skaters!

About a month or so ago, my friend Deb bought a cheap wooden ladder which she was planning on decorating and adorning her little miniatures on and such, but never got around to finishing it. So, she gave it to me and in turn, I surprised her by taking it home and decorating it for her. I gave it to her on Saturday before we left for the Stars on Ice show.  😊
Have a great day everyone!

Saturday night out

Greetings all! Last night was the Stars on Ice event at the Santander Performing Arts Center in Reading, PA. We decided to have dinner at Jimmie Kramer's Peanut Bar before the show.
(My miniature wooden figure of The Peanut Bar which I found at a local Flea Market about a year ago.)

We finished our dinner earlier than we expected, so we had some extra time to roam around The Double Tree Hilton across the street from the Santander Performing Arts Center where we were given a tour by the very nice head of security (named Luther) of some of the cool rooms in the eight story hotel. They have gorgeous artwork all along the hotel walls (which I will post some pics of in another post). Then we had a drink at the hotel's Cheers Lounge where the very helpful bartender offered to take a group pic of Deb, her MIL Nancy, and myself ...

Among the skater's who performed were ...

Meryl Davis and Charlie White ...
Kurt Browning ...
Bradie Tunnell ...
Jeremy Abbott ...

Mirai Nagasu ...
Nathan Chen ...
Madison Hubbell & Zach Donohue ...

And few other star performers, but it was hard to get decent pics due to the bright lighting and the because of the speed in which they skated so I just posted some of the better ones here.

The show was awesome and we all had a great time!

In the Evening ... Gonna Get the Led Out! (warning: adult content)

Greetings friends! Some new happenings coming up. One of them being a "Stars on Ice" show that I have tickets to go see tomorrow night with my friend Deb and her MIL at The Santander Arena & Performing Arts Center in downtown Reading, PA.

Another show being a very cool concert at the same venue. This one is to see the long-running Led Zeppelin tribute band, "Get the Led Out" - looking forward to it coming up in February.

Speaking of tribute bands, I would have given anything to have been able to go see Mr. Jimmy play with Quiet Riot drummer Frankie Banali and August Young in Pittsburgh, PA recently for their re-creation of the infamous Led Zeppelin Knebworth concert titled, "Back to Knebworth 1979"...
Love this contrast between these pics: Mr. Jimmy Sakurai (above) and Jimmy Page (below).

The '79 Knebworth show recreated as only Mr. Jimmy can do!!! ... 💓

In other news, I found out on Tuesday night that I won third prize in the "Ugly Christmas Sweater" contest from last weekend. I won a cool bag full of goodies ... 💓💚💓💚
Deb, me, & the beautiful Ms. Mandi. Her Ugly Christmas sweater says, "The Christmas tree isn't the only thing getting lit this year" and it lights up, too.

And, I attended Tuesday night's "Bad Santa" event at The Station at Reinholds Inn where they were giving out some rather "adult" gifts of a straw, lipstick, and a beaded ring ... (just gotta larf). The LED Christmas lights bracelet was a little extra gift from Mandi -LOL!! 😂👄😍

Have a blessed weekend all!
