Odds 'n' ends ...

Happy Wednesday, my friends! Hope all is well with everyone, Been keeping kinda busy lately. Last night was my long-time and very dear friend, Kiki's birthday and our monthly get-together. We decided to eat dinner at one of our favorite places for taco night, The Liberty Fire Company and Social Quarters ...

The other day, I went looking for a nice, fairly cheap jewelry box to hang and store my necklaces in. Can you believe I looked at several different stores and NONE of them carried even regular jewelry boxes? Boscov's Department Store actually told me that they were seasonal? ... Why? I have no idea. So, I decided to make my own - not the prettiest jewelry box in the world but it will do the job just fine. I bought a plain wooden box (I can always paint it later) with a glass door on the front and a hook command strip to use inside for hanging the necklaces ...

I picked up Game of Thrones DVD's seasons 4 through 7 to add to the first three I bought last year. I figure since it will be a long wait for the show finale (the last season will be 2019 with no episodes this year), so I may as well get caught up.

I also found the perfect frame for my Magic Love Crow art I purchased recently from Stacy, "Step Into Your Greatness" ...

This and That ...

Greetings everyone! I had lost my internet at home for a few days, but luckily I finally got it back today. As you all know if you have read my previous posts, I am losing my job sometime before summer as I was told and a lot of changes are coming my way - ready or not! 

I still believe that everything happens for a reason and I saw a beautiful painting created by my long time and very talented friend, Magic Love Crow, called, "Step Into Your Greatness." As I told Stacy, this painting SPOKE to me! Especially at this difficult time of my life. The unknown is always a scary thought and so I am trying very hard to keep a positive outlook. A very sincere "thank you" my dear friend, Stacy from Magic Love Crow! I am going to look for the perfect frame tomorrow for this piece to hang in my living room ...

Along with my crow painting, I also received some very special gifts from Stacy ...

I began making my holiday wreaths again, I had given my boss a fall and spring wreath about a year ago because she said she loved my wreaths so much. Since then, her house burned down and I promised her that I would replace the ones she lost. She told me that she really enjoyed them. Here is a pic of one of them ...

The Gift of Friendship ... Thank You, Stacy!

Greetings everyone!Right now, I am doing my happy dance as this morning I received a package in the mail from Stacy from her awesome blog, MagicLoveCrow! You see, I was one of the lucky winners of her latest wonderful giveaway!

She is such a sweet soul with a giving heart that she picked out the most excellent gifts you could imagine. Along with a special friendship card for Yule, she also sent me a lovely gift card to accompany my beautiful treasures.

 A gorgeous sterling silver elephant pendant made from a fork. I thought that the elephant was especially meaningful as it symbolizes strength, family, good luck and happiness. Simply perfect!

And two very lovely hearts ~ one made of Rose Quartz and the other is a Singing Heart with pretty flower designs!

 All of the prize gifts were selected from one of her fav stores called, "Daylyn" ...  very cool shop and a place you simply must check out!

The 'Love' of a Sister

Magic Love Crow, that is! As you all know, every year I make it a sort of tradition to add another little festive item to decorate my home with. 

This year, I just simply had to have a sweet little baby crow aceo created by my very dear and talented artist friend, Stacy from "Magic Love Crow" called ...

It arrived in the mail yesterday. Isn't this just the cutest thing you have ever seen? And, Stacy is such a sweet gal, too! Along with the aceo I had ordered, she also enclosed a very pretty "Thank You" card and another beautiful aceo called, "Sisters." This one, especially, is very dear to my heart! ...

Well, as you all can see I did a little more decorating late yesterday afternoon. I had some errands to run before going to see my mom for her birthday anyhow, and so I decided to stop at K-Mart while I was in the area. I found some good bargains on a few items which I could not resist ...

A very thoughtful surprise and more crafts

  Happy Wednesday, my friends! Yesterday after I came home from work, I received a very sweet little surprise in the mailbox. It was a beautiful "thinking of you" card with a crow on it and enclosed inside was a gorgeous wallet sized aceo of a Mer-Crow called, "Mer-Crow Dancing!" This special card and gift came from a very special gal, my good friend and talented artist in her own right, Stacy from her blog "Magic Love Crow"!! ...

Thank you soo much, Stacy!! You sure know how to put a smile on my face, my dear sister!! Ironically, the same day I received the card, I had sent Stacy's birthday present out in the mail to her in Ontario, Canada. SHHHH, I can't tell you what it is, but I can tell you that I made her present specifically with HER in mind! Sure hope you like it, Stacy!!  ;)

Also, I thought that since I was "in the groove" after making the give-away gifts, I would make two more wreaths. The first one is called, "The Four Seasons of the Cat" and the second is, "The Wheel of the Cat" because it is more Wiccan/Pagan looking ...

Very special gifts from a very lovely sister!

 

Today, I received a very special surprise package in the mail from my very sweet and thoughtful friend, Stacy from her lovely blog, "Magic Love Crow."

Stacy sent me an extremely beautiful handcrafted gemstone necklace laced with silver pentagrams and gorgeous cats!! This particular piece of jewelry is purrfect and I can't wait to wear it for my sabbat celebrations and handfasting ceremonies ...

And, not only did she honor me with such a breath-taking and heart-felt gift, but she also sent along some "All Natural Temptations" goody treats for my kitties! How lucky they are to have such a terrific Auntie! Hugs and purrs from ALL of them, Aunt Stacy!!

There is a saying which goes, "Friends are the family we choose for ourselves," and, Stacy, I have been very blessed to have you as my sister!! Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart, I will treasure this beautiful gift always!!! Love you lots!
