We are not human beings having a spiritual experience, we are spiritual beings having a human experience

Much ado about change

Change. Just hearing that word usually makes me want to simply run and hide underneath something. As it has always seemed to be in my personal experience, change has never been easy. In fact, things more often than not turned out rather badly. But after very recently speaking to a close friend of mine of many years, I am beginning to think a bit differently about it now.

She, herself, has gone through quite a number of life changes throughout the years and she knows that taking risks is sometimes a necessary part of life. Let's face it, change is going to happen whether we like it or not and/or are ready for it!

Where I used to look at it as a "necessary evil" type thing before, I am beginning to recognize the fact that there may sometimes be great advantages to it. Accept change? Bring it on!

  1. Hi Kim! "Change" keeps us on our toes! Without it we could become to complacent with our lives~

  2. I agree! Bring it on!! I was over at another blog and she was talking about the Butterfly Maiden. She is Hopi, a Native American Spirit. She's a spring time Goddess who helps us escape from any cocoon situation that's trapping us or impeding our growth or joy. One of the messages is, to bring in your desired newness, you must first allow old parts of your life to fall away. These changes are to be celebrated, not feared. Give thanks for this shedding of the old. Embrace all of the lessons it brought, then let it go! Be giddy with excitement at the newness of the gifts that are now being bestowed upon you and let their magic surprise and delight you. As you go through this period of change, it's natural for you to wonder if your future is safe. I'm here to assure you, that you're part of nature's cycles of birth, death and rebirth. Don't be concerned about endings as they're bringing in the new for you!
Sorry for the long comment! I just thought it was very interesting ;o) Big Hugs and Many blessings ;o)

  3. We mortal humans are such creatures of habit! I for one am horribly guilty of that! However, I do, deep down realize change is good. Its hard getting through it, but it usually means good things on the other side!

  4. Fantastic blog Kim and so true. I've had my own issues with being afraid of change. It can be scary but then we can grow so much from pushing ourselves out of our comfort zones. Good lucky and blessings to you!
