Greetings all! Last night was the Stars on Ice event at the Santander Performing Arts Center in Reading, PA. We decided to have dinner at Jimmie Kramer's Peanut Bar before the show.
(My miniature wooden figure of The Peanut Bar which I found at a local Flea Market about a year ago.)
We finished our dinner earlier than we expected, so we had some extra time to roam around The Double Tree Hilton across the street from the Santander Performing Arts Center where we were given a tour by the very nice head of security (named Luther) of some of the cool rooms in the eight story hotel. They have gorgeous artwork all along the hotel walls (which I will post some pics of in another post). Then we had a drink at the hotel's Cheers Lounge where the very helpful bartender offered to take a group pic of Deb, her MIL Nancy, and myself ...

Among the skater's who performed were ...
Meryl Davis and Charlie White ...
Kurt Browning ...
Bradie Tunnell ...
Jeremy Abbott ...
Mirai Nagasu ...
Nathan Chen ...
Madison Hubbell & Zach Donohue ...
And few other star performers, but it was hard to get decent pics due to the bright lighting and the because of the speed in which they skated so I just posted some of the better ones here.
The show was awesome and we all had a great time!
Sounds like you had a great time. Nice of the bar tender to take a picture of all of you. The skaters graceful, elegant, and athletic. They make things look so easy
ReplyDeleteYes, they do make it look so easy. It is nice to watch it on television, but to actually see it live is just so much better!
