Last night, my hubby and I found ourselves watching the ole 1974 classic Christmas special, "The Year Without a Santa Claus." This one in particular has always been a favorite of mine! The story does a terrific job of explaining the importance of love and the spirit of giving. The music is very entertaining and I especially love the scene with Mother Nature (ah-hum, a.k.a. "Mother Earth") and her ever-feuding stepsons "Snow Meiser" and "Heat Meiser."
Anyway, after a few minutes of channel surfing, we ended up watching "The Year Without a Santa Claus" and at some point I turned to my husband, smiled and said to him, "I can't believe we are still watching this after all these years!" LOL! I guess some classics just never grow old ~ and apparently, neither do we! ;)
LOL! old favorites are hard to pass up!!
ReplyDeleteMy dad always talked about "Mother Nature". He loved to garden, I mean he really loved it. Although he was a mailman (and he thoroughly enjoyed that, liked to walk in the outdoors in all the seasons) he always had a large garden at home which helped feed us all. He was in tune with nature, I'll have to say that. I often wonder why some of us seem to be born that way.

Robin ~ Ain't that the truth? ;)
ReplyDeleteArtsings ~ I know what you mean. My own father is still very much connected to Nature. Perhaps that is why he never has had an issue with me being a Wiccan? He is also an Aquarius and loves science as well!
Love & Light to all!
